What is a RespOrg?

A RespOrg is a company certified by the FCC to access the entire database of nationwide Toll-Free numbers.

What is an Independent RespOrg?

As a certified Independent RespOrg, WWT is a non-carrier affiliated company who can also access the national database of toll free numbers. By removing carrier affiliations, RespOrgs may deal with other carriers in a neutral manner but still have the same capabilities as a carrier related RespOrg (i.e. ATT, MCI, Sprint, or Qwest). As with carrier related RespOrgs, WWT can fully manager customers call routing and network services in the North American toll-free switching network.

Why choose an Independent RespOrg?

Your numbers are the lifeblood of your business and you should protect them at all costs. Traditionally, when your numbers are at a carrier affiliated RespOrg, you should feel safe. But, this is not always the case.

The sheer magnitude of managed numbers by a carrier affiliated RespOrg are so great that numbers often are not supervised well. This can lead to errors in routing and in the worst case, missing numbers. While routing issue can be resolved, missing numbers are often lost for good. Any advertising or revenue generated for these numbers is gone. With WWT, you're not just a number… you're our customer. We respect how important toll-free numbers are to your business and treat each one like a valued treasure.

It is often beneficial to change from one carrier to another in the course of business. When carrier affiliated RespOrgs manage your numbers, they must physically transfer them to a new carrier. This usually involves significant downtime and results in lost revenue. When WWT manages your numbers, we make seamless transfers and ensure no loss of traffic or revenue affect your business.

Assuring carrier redundancy is an extremely important factor. This is often overlooked by both corporations and call centers. If your carrier is unable to complete you traffic, you need the ability to switch to a new carrier immediately. WWT offers easy and efficient changes anytime of any day.

Companies usually find that service requests made to carrier-affiliated RespOrgs are put into the standard queue and completion takes between 5 and 7 days. At WWT, customers numbers are moved, activated and reserved in a fraction of that time. We improve call management and response time in providing routing options between carriers.

If you choose not to work with a carrier affiliated RespOrg, you have the option of assuming the role and managing the complex RespOrg functions in-house. While this a good option, it can be extremely expensive in both labor and employee management costs.
